Boost your immune system during these unpredictable times.
More than ever, protecting yourself from germs has been the world’s number one priority. COVID-19 can be the blame for this heightened awareness that germs are everywhere. Before this pandemic happened, we focused on balancing work, family, and free time. Most of us didn’t even stop to look at the beautiful scenery around us because we let the regular day-to-day actions distract us from it. Unless you had the tenancy to be a germophobe, most likely, you were not worried about touching things that were germy until now. We are wearing gloves to protect ourselves from COVID-19 infected surfaces, keeping six feet away and now double-masked up to lower our chances of catching this virus. These actions are imperative to help us stay covid free and free from catching a common cold.
With all the focus on taking precautions to stay healthy on the outside.
What about our immune system on the inside? According to the US national of medicine, it states that in this short duration of the present pandemic, studies have shown that SARS-CoV-2 has several defense mechanisms, which makes its eradication more difficult. In other words, Covid-19 is very tricky when attacking your immune system. This why some people have terrible symptoms, and others don’t show any at all. It’s essential to give as much energy to protecting your immune system as you would putting on two masks, gloves, and washing your hands throughout the day.
There are many ways to boost your immune system, and not everything works for everyone because of how our bodies may react. You can naturally increase your immune system by taking a spoon full of sea moss every day. Let me explain! Sea moss can be found in places such as the Caribbeans and Ireland. According to Healthline, Sea moss, scientifically known as Chondrus crispus, is a type of algae or seaweed. It grows in waters along the rocky Atlantic coasts, primarily between North America and Europe. It’s an edible sea plant similar to other seaweeds, algae, and other familiar leafy sea vegetables like kelp or dulse. Sea moss grows in a number of colors, such as various shades of green, yellow, purple, red, brown, and black. The most common varieties that grow in the warmer waters are generally red and often called Irish moss.
These algae (Sea Moss) contain potassium chloride, putting you at a lower risk of infections and boosting your immune system. Along with that, it has many other benefits due to its natural minerals. You can put it in your hair, Use it on your skin, and add it to pretty much any dish you can think about. When preparing sea moss, it’s crucial to let it soak in spring water for at least 24 hours to take away the salty taste. This should not be taken alone. One of the best ways to take sea moss is by blending the finished product in a smoothie.
It is so important to take care of yourself not only on the outside but also on the inside. Your immune system will thank you. Continue to stay six feet apart from others, cover your face with two face masks, and thoroughly wash your hands. Your health is wealth.
