The Center for Black Literature (CBL) invites vendors to participate in the National Black Writers Conference (NBWC2026) at Medgar Evers College. Since 1986, NBWC has brought together writers, publishing professionals, students, and literature lovers from around the world. Vendors— including self-published authors, visual artists, designers, and artisans—are vital to the conference experience. Join us in celebrating creativity, culture, and community. What are the day/dates for vending? Where?
The CBL Marketplace will take place on Friday, March 27 and Saturday, March 28, 2026, from 10:00 am to 6:00 pm, at Medgar Evers College.
When are applications due?
Friday January 30, 2026
What is the application process?
Apply online via this Google Form.
A $15.00 non-refundable application fee is due upon submission.
What happens after I submit my application?
Applicants will be notified only if selected to vend. Applying for a space does not guarantee official status as a vendor. Applicants will then receive the NBWC Vendor Registration Form. Approved vendors must submit Registration Forms and fees by February 20, 2026. No late forms will be accepted.
NBWC MARKETPLACE FEES
- Application Fee $15 (required; non-refundable)
- Registration Fee (Products; Non-Books) $250
- Non-Profit Registration Fee $50
- Self-Published Authors Registration Fee $80 (a copy of the work must be submitted*)
IMPORTANT: CBL reserves the right to cancel the status of a confirmed vendor if their product or service is deemed inappropriate by CBL standards. The vendor registration fee will be refunded fully, however the application fee is non-refundable.
